9.2 For accessible events
The Independent Student will:
– Check every event by the university on accessibility;
– Advocate for a sign language interpreter at every event;
Events by the university should be accessible by everyone. The Independent Student wants all events from the university, ranging from the opening of the academic year, to the lustrum festival, to accessible by everyone. In case of speeches, a sign language interpreter in NGT (Dutch Sign Language) should be present at each event.
