3.3 A new student information platform
The Independent Student wants:
– A new student information platform to replace Nestor;
– Push notifications for grades, classes and important messages;
– A platform for secure and stable online conferencing;
The University of Groningen should be a frontrunner on all aspects of education, to provide the education of the future. An essential requirement, is a student information platform which is future-proof. The old platform Nestor needs replacement, it lacks the functionalities the modern era of education requires.
The Independent Student wants a broad range of functionalities, to improve the quality of online education. The platform should also be available as an optional Android and IOS-app, to show important information and messages through push notifications, which would have gone unseen otherwise.
