3.4 For digital courses
The Independent Student wants:
– MOOCs by the University of Groningen;
– ECTs for students who have successfully completed a MOOC;
The positive educational impact of the university should not be limited to its students. People from all over the world can benefit from the knowledge of our educational institute. The Independent Student wants the university to create Massive Online Open Courses (MOOC).
Universities from all over the world such as Harvard, Stratford and MIT are already providing such courses and students from the University of Groningen could benefit greatly from similar courses. The Independent Student wants a swift investigation into the possibilities to feature MOOC’s, and to research the option to award successful students with extra ECTs.
