4.3 For less paper waste
The Independent Student wants:
– Mandatory readers and binders to be available as a free PDF-file;
– A discount for using your own mug to get coffee;
The University wastes to much paper. Many paper readers and binders are only available as a printed document, and assignements still need to be handed in as a print. The Independent Student wants to reduce the paper waste of the university by making the mandatory readers available as a PDF-file, instead of having students purchase them as a physical copy. This is cheaper for the university and the student, and far better for the environment.
The cups in our coffee machines can not be recycled, since they are mix of plastic and paper. The Independent Student wants a discount for all students bring their own mug instead of using paper cups.
