2.4 For better student housing
The Independent Student wants:
– Solid information about the housing situation in Groningen to be provided to all potential new students;
– Housing on the Zernike Campus;
– The university to take a leading role in solving the housing crisis;
Many students are facing, or have faced, the struggle of finding a room in Groningen, and the severity of the housing crisis is growing. For international students, this creates an even greater challenge. The Independent Student wants the university to take more responsibility in the housing crisis. It is unacceptable for students having to live in tents, hostels or sleep on couches for longer periods of time.
